The Los Angeles office is open for in-person, same-day service on a first-come, first-served basis (no appointments). The two services available are authentication (apostille) requests and domestic partnership filings. All other requests should be directed to the Sacramento office.
The Los Angeles office distributes forms and informational materials and provides the following drop-off services:

Please note: Substituted Service of Process Service is not available in the Los Angeles office.
Following are a few important points to remember when submitting requests to the Los Angeles office:
Fees collected at the Los Angeles office location may be submitted by credit card (Visa or Mastercard), check, or money order. Checks should be made payable to the Secretary of State. Cash is not accepted at the Los Angeles Office.
Office hours are Monday through Friday - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding state holidays.
